Qualified Income Trust (QIT)
A Qualified Income Trust (QIT) is the formal legal name for what is commonly called a Miller Trust. It holds income in a designated account to meet Medicaid eligibility requirements in income-cap states.
Why it matters
A properly managed QIT can mean the difference between approval and denial of long-term care benefits. Technical errors, however, can delay coverage.
